About Us

We will be back!

We will be back!

Firstly, the whole team at Positive Dog Training hope you & our doggy pals are all keeping well. Thanks for all your well wishes and support over the last few weeks.

I have been inundated with emails, social media messages and calls regarding when we can reopen. I have been in contact with the all the government offices, that I can for the last few weeks and have made the decision based on the advice they have given & for the safety of the PDT team & all our clients that we will not reopen until June 8th for grooming and June 9th for day-care.

Grooming – we are aware that many clients are worried about the condition of their dogs’ coat and we have been keeping a record or all who have been in touch to arrange an appointment. Following a conversation with the health and safety authority this morning, we have been advised that we are not cleared to open for dog grooming until phase 2, June 8th. Its been next to impossible to get a straight answer regarding the animal welfare implications of dog grooming and the grooming team are more than happy to give advice to you in regard to your dog’s coat while you wait for an appointment. Appointments will be allocated tomorrow, if you are already on the list you will receive a text message confirmation detailing your dogs date and time. We ask all clients to read through our COVID 19 statement in advance on coming to the centre. If you wish to make an appointment or remove your dog from the list please email info@positivedogtraining.ie

Day-care – Several our clients have contacted us to let us know that their dogs will not be returning to day-care until September/ October 2020. Because we need a minimum number of dogs attending day-care to cover costs, for the first few weeks we will be reopening day-care 3 days a week only. The days we will open will be Tuesdays, Wednesday & Thursday starting June 9th. If you wish to book a day-care day, please email info@positivedogtraining.ie New protocols will be in place regarding the drop off and pick up of your dog to the centre, a full set will be listed on our website in advance of us opening.

Training – We are looking at the end of June before we can restart our group training classes. Private training sessions at the centre will restart from June 8th with full social distance protocols in place. We also offer an online training for those who wish to get started now.

Again, thank you for your understanding and your support. I wish that we were in a position to reopen next week but you can be assured that we are all working hard to make sure that when we do reopen it will be in the safest positive manner possible. As you already know, we are fanatical about the cleanliness of the centre and have been working hard with various hygiene providers amongst other suppliers to source the best PPE, signage and information that we need to ensure you receive the highest level of service & safety that you have come to expect from the team even in these more strange and different of times.
