Positive Dog Trainings mission is to provide a fun, safe and secure environment for all your pet dogs need. We have worked hard to create a new standard in dog care which includes unbeatable measures to ensure the health and safety of all our four legged friends.
We opened in Sandyford in 2011, and have welcomed thousands of dogs through our doors to take part in our dog training classes, to be groomed in our welfare friendly dog grooming salon and to play in our fun, fully supervised dog daycare.
We believe in all our four legged clients having fun while providing peace of mind for our human clients that their family pets are in the safest hands possible.
All our staff are highly experienced, trained in dog training and behaviour and certified in canine first aid, and regularly attend continuing education events in dogs training and behaviour.
Positive Dog Training is owned and managed by Liz Mc Donagh. Liz first began working full time with dogs in 2008 having volunteered with rescue dog organisations for many years. Over the past 15 years, Liz has completed many dog training & behaviour courses including an intensive one year dog training and behaviour mentorship programme with Steve Mann, chairman and head trainer of the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers and a full time professional dog grooming course with Dog Grooming Ireland. Liz was the first Irish dog trainer to earn full membership of the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers and the first Irish dog trainer to be invited to become a Victoria Stillwell Positively Dog Trainer (VSPDT) and provide a mentoring service for the Irish students of the Victoria Stillwell academy for dog training and behaviour.
Liz was awarded the 2017 IMDT Dog Trainer of the Year.
