FAQs

Does Positive Dog Training offer group classes or individual instruction?

We offer semi private group classes and private training classes.

Are the classes at Positive Dog Training suitable for puppies?

Yes at Positive Dog Training we believe that classes once fully supervised should include puppies of all sizes and all play abilities.

Can we teach older dogs?

Yes absolutely, dogs are NEVER too old to learn new tricks and we welcome dogs of all age groups to come and learn at Positive Dog Training.

What if your dog has serious behavioural problems?

Unfortunately a  training class is not the place to try to solve a behavioural problem with a dog. Aggressive or nervous dogs need individual attention away from the class environment. Please contact us and we will be more than happy to advise you of the best route to take with your dog.

Does your dog need to be vaccinated to come to classes?

Yes it is so important that your dog is fully vaccinated before attending classes at Positive Dog Training for their own health and safety. We will require proof of vaccination on your first visit.

Does your dog need to be neutered to come to classes?

No your dog does not have to be neutered to attend classes but we do ask you to advise us of this information when you are signing up for classes.

How many dogs will there be at your dog training class?

Depending on which course you attend there could be between 6-8 other dogs in the class with a minimum of one head trainer and a training assistant.

Do you need to bring anything to your dog training class?

You do not need to bring anything along with you to your training class other than a collar/harness and lead. We do not allow choke chains, prong collars or similar in class. Please do not feed your dog for a minimum of 2 hours before coming to class.

How many people can come along with your dog to training classes?

We welcome all the family members to attend training and learn how to teach their dog together. We do please as that you are courteous to other learners in the class and that you arrive on time as class will start at the time advertised. Children under the age of 12 must be supervised at all times.

How do you book a class at Positive Dog Training?

You can book your course online here or by emailing info@positivedogtrainingdublin.com . All classes must be booked by paying in full or leaving a deposit of €50 to ensure your place. You must complete payment prior to joining the first class. Please make sure you are available for the whole length of the course as we will be unable to facilitate make up classes for you due to the small numbers of learners in each class.
