Dog Grooming at Positive Dog Training

At Positive Dog Training we want to make grooming an enjoyable and pleasant time for every dog in our care. We do that by creating a fun environment where your dog will love to be papered, loved and played with while they are getting their hair cut. At Positive Dog Training all of our talented groomers and fully qualified and very experienced with dogs all shapes and sizes.

What is included in a full grooming treatment?
A full groom includes a brush out, ear clean, nail clip, wash, condition, and facial scrub. After that your dog is hand dried (never cage dried), clipped and styled as requested. If your dog is a high shedding breed we will use a welfare friendly de-shed treatment which will help with excess moulting. This process takes approximately two hours. NOTE - we are firm believers in humanity before vanity, if you pet is severely matted or tangled, it is a higher risk of injury, stress and trauma. For this reason we will not attempt to dematt any dog. We will discuss this on arrival with you at Positive Dog Training and we can advise a proper grooming routine with you to help you prevent this from happening again

What is included in a wash and dry treatment?

A wash and blow dry is a good way of keeping your dog clean and tidy in between grooms. It helps to keep on top of the care of hard to manage dog coats and allows your dog to remain comfortable all year round. A wash and dry includes wash, condition, brush and blow dry. Removal of matting or facial trimming will incur extra charges and any addition treatments will be charged at the price of a full groom.

Can your dog just get their nails cut?

Yes, that is no problem you can just get your dogs nails cut without any of the other treatments. A nail trim is €10.00.

Can your dog be styled to a particular breed cut?
If your Bichon Frise is getting a trim or your Border Terrier is getting hand stripped we will do our very best to carry out your requests however if your dogs coat is not suitable or in the right condition for specific styles we will always opt in the welfare interests of the dog.
